Do I need to buy one license for each user ?
No! We use a floating license pool, so a team of, let’s say, 10 users can share, e.g., up to 2 licenses, meaning 2 people can use it at a given point in time. We do sell individual licenses if you are literally looking for a solution for 1 individual.
REQUIREMENTS
Do the files need to have live text for a Text comparison to work?
We recommend using Live text (i.e., that the text is still editable) for your text comparison tasks, but we do offer an AI-based OCR module to read text from outlined/vectorized text.
Do the texts need to be in the same order?
No, we have several different “Reading modes” that control the order in which we read the text. There are also powerful tools to manipulate the order to match two different layouts.
Do I need to install anything on my computer?
No, all you need is a web browser.
Do I need to use Remote Desktop?
Absolutely not! Inform Content Compare is a browser-based HTML5 application with a server backend.

Is the software translated into my language?
The tools are available in nine languages besides English: Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Polish, Swedish, and Italian.
Can I log in using my Single Sign-On account?
Yes, if the system is configured for this, you can authenticate using your Single Sign-on account (Entra, Okta, Ping, etc.). In fact, we encourage it!
Is this tool using Artificial Intelligence?
We follow closely the amazing developments in the AI area. Comparing text/pixels is not a great use case for AI, but we do work on some features where it is a great fit. One that is already available is the AI-based OCR feature.
Can you compare e.g. English to French?
No, the system will compare word for word.
Are there any limits to which languages can be compared?
We base the comparison on Unicode, so if the files have been created with Unicode-compatible tools and fonts, they will work, even for Right-to-left text.
